The Unsinkable Molly Brown
Anyone fascinated with the story of the ship “Titanic” has heard of the Unsinkable Molly Brown. Her family moved to Denver when she was a child and made a fortune in gold mining. William F. Hayden Green Mountain Park
This park is huge! At 2500 acres, it provides outdoor fun for everyone. Since the park is located at the base of Green Mountain, there is a trail that takes you up to the peak. Be mindful that the trail is strenuous and demanding for experienced hikers.
History Colorado Center
In 2011, the History Colorado Center was opened near Wheat Ridge. It tells about Native Americans, the gold boom, the dust bowl days, and the stories of the early settlers. Even though it is intended for history buffs of all ages, visitors report that it is particularly good for kids.
