Greenwood Village Near Denver, Colorado

A small city of only about 15K lies south of Denver. Greenwood Village is another little town that sprang up during the gold rush. Although it is not a big town, it offers plenty of tourist attractions. Information can be found here.

Cherry Creek State Park

Like most places in Colorado, Greenwood Village is great for people who love the outdoors.  Just to the northeast of Greenwood Village is the Cherry Creek Reservoir.  Just south of the reservoir is Cherry Creek, State Park. See here for information about Columbine, Colorado.

This is a beautiful place to visit. The park abuts the 880-acre reservoir where you can go boating and fishing. You can also enjoy paddleboards, kayaks, and jet skis.

Camping at Cherry Creek State Park 

For those who just can’t get enough of this beautiful park, Cherry Creek State Park also includes a large camping area for anyone who likes to camp.  There are 135 campsites, including full hookup sites and basic tent sites.  In addition, there are three group campsites.

Amenities

Creek Creek State Park includes an electric vehicle charging station for your car and a field to fly model airplanes.  There are also stables and corrals for your horse, horse rentals, and riding lessons.
